These terms cover your use of the Dabblebit app and dabblebit.com (together, "Dabblebit"), made by Clever Crump ("we"). By using Dabblebit, you agree to them. We've kept them short on purpose.
What Dabblebit is
Dabblebit is an educational app that teaches programming through short lessons and games. It's for learning and fun — not a certification, a degree, or job placement.
Your progress is yours
Everything you earn in Dabblebit — XP, streaks, badges, a hatched Puddles — is yours to keep. If you're signed in, it syncs across your devices. If you play as a guest, it lives only on that device, so deleting the app or switching phones will reset it.
Dabblebit Plus (subscriptions)
Dabblebit Plus is an optional subscription that unlocks every language, unlimited hearts, and new tracks as they hatch.
- Monthly: $9.99 per month.
- Annual: $59.99 per year, with a 7-day free trial — you aren't charged until the trial ends.
Subscriptions auto-renew until you cancel. Cancel any time in your App Store or Google Play account settings; you'll keep Plus until the end of your current billing period. If you switch devices or reinstall, use Restore Purchases on the Plus page to get your subscription back.
Payments are processed by Apple or Google under their own terms — subscription management, refunds, and billing questions go through them.
Heart refills
A heart refill ($0.99) is a one-time consumable purchase that restores your hearts to full right away. Like everything virtual in Dabblebit, hearts have no cash value, can't be transferred to anyone else, and can't be exchanged for real money.
Accounts
You're responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your sign-in details private. You can delete your account — and its synced data — at any time inside the app; see the Privacy Policy for exactly what gets deleted.
Play fair
Don't try to break Dabblebit, scrape its content in bulk, or use it for anything unlawful. The lessons, characters (including Puddles and the flock), artwork, and copy are ours — you're welcome to learn from them, not to republish or resell them. We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the service, cheat the systems that keep learning fair, or violate these terms.
"As is"
Dabblebit is provided as-is. We work hard to keep lessons accurate and the app running smoothly, but we can't promise it's error-free or uninterrupted. To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for anything that goes wrong while using it.
Changes
We may update Dabblebit and these terms as the app grows. If the terms change in a meaningful way, we'll say so here.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA.
