Common questions

You start with 5 hearts, and a wrong answer costs one. Hearts refill on their own — one every 30 minutes — or you can refill instantly for $0.99. Dabblebit Plus members get unlimited hearts and never have to wait.

Finish at least one lesson a day to keep your streak alive. Your streak counts the days in a row you've shown up — Puddles gets very excited about long ones.

JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, Go, Rust, and SQL unlock with Dabblebit Plus — one subscription opens the whole flock. The full Python course is free forever — no payment, no trial, no catch.

If you're signed in, your progress syncs to your account — just sign back in on the new device and everything is right where you left it. If you played as a guest, your progress lives only on that device, so reinstalling starts you fresh. Tip: creating a free account in the app keeps your progress safe.

Open your Profile in the app and tap Delete account. This permanently removes your account and your synced learning progress from our servers. Purchase records stay with Apple or Google, as required.

Subscriptions are managed by the app stores, not by us. On iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions. On Android: Play Store → your profile → Payments & subscriptions. You'll keep Plus until the end of your current billing period.

Open the Plus page in the app and tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you're signed in to the same Dabblebit account — and the same Apple or Google account you originally bought with.

Dabblebit is coming to iOS and Android phones and tablets. It needs an internet connection the very first time you use write-and-run coding (to download the Python runtime); lessons themselves work offline after that.

Please tell us! Use the "Report a bug" button above and include the language, level, and lesson (they're shown at the top of every lesson screen). We take lesson accuracy personally.
