Effective: October 10, 2026
Dabblebit is made by Clever Crump. This policy explains what the Dabblebit app (and this website) do with your information. The honest summary: we collect the minimum needed to run accounts and purchases — and nothing else.
Accounts: what we collect and why
You can play Dabblebit as a guest with no account at all. If you create an account (Sign in with Apple, Sign in with Google, or email code), we store:
- Your sign-in details — the name and email address your provider shares with us (or the email you use for email-code sign-in). That's how we recognize you on a new device.
- Your learning progress — lessons completed, XP, streaks, hearts, badges, and settings — so your progress follows you across devices when you're signed in.
Account data is stored securely with our backend provider, Supabase. We don't sell it, share it with advertisers, or use it for anything besides running Dabblebit.
Guest mode: if you never sign in, your progress stays only on your device — nothing about you ever leaves it.
Purchases: how payments work
Dabblebit Plus subscriptions and heart refills are sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play — they process your payment, not us. We never see or store your card number. What we do keep is your purchase status (for example, that your Plus subscription is active and when it renews), so the app can unlock the right features.
What we never collect
- No analytics SDKs. We don't track how you use the app.
- No advertising SDKs. There are no third-party ads in Dabblebit, and no behavioral advertising, ever.
- No location, contacts, photos, or device identifiers. The app never asks for them.
Deleting your account and data
You can delete your account right inside the app (Profile → Delete account). That permanently deletes your account record and your synced learning progress from our servers. Records we're legally required to keep (like purchase receipts handled by the app stores) are retained as required by law. If you played as a guest, deleting the app wipes your on-device progress.
One thing that touches the network
Dabblebit's write-and-run coding feature runs real Python on your phone using the Pyodide runtime. On first use, the app downloads that runtime from the jsDelivr content delivery network (cdn.jsdelivr.net). That's a plain file download — no personal information is sent, and it only happens when you use the feature.
This website
If you join the launch list, we receive the email address you type in — only to email you about Dabblebit's launch. We don't share it, sell it, or add it to anything else. Reply to any launch email asking to be removed and you're gone.
Children
Dabblebit is designed to be friendly for learners of all ages. There are no ads, no behavioral tracking, no chat, and no way for strangers to contact your child through the app. If your child creates an account, the same protections in this policy apply — and you can delete their account (and its data) at any time from inside the app.
Changes to this policy
If we change what we collect, we'll update this page and note what's changed before it happens.
